Details

Singapura cats are high-energy, small-sized pets with big eyes, big ears and playful personalities. Learn more about living with the Singapura. The Singapura is the smallest breed of domestic cat. However, these little pets are known for having a lot of personality in their small bodies. Singapuras are guaranteed to turn heads wherever they go.
This playful breed thrives on attention, and gets plenty of it, thanks to their unusual appearance and playful temperament. Singapura have saucer-shaped eyes, big ears, a tiny frame and the energy of a few larger cats put together. These small, strong cats are fun family members and close companions. Singapuras are relatively rare, and a Singapura kitten from a breeder can cost anywhere from $800 to $2,000, depending on pedigree. This breed is known to be especially small, appearing micro-sized compared to ordinary domestic cats. These pets take up to two years to reach their full size, and even adult cats only end up weighing between 4 and 8 pounds. However, the Singapura’s size is not its only defining feature: these striking felines have large ears and large, round eyes that can be hazel, green or yellow.
The coat of the Singapura is a single colour, called sepia agouti. “Sepia agouti is essentially a fancy name for a brindle pattern, with dark brown spots on a light cream coat. These cats have a short silky coat, blunt tails with dark tips and are lighter near the chest, stomach and muzzle.
The Singapura’s short coat does not shed excessively, far from it, but they are not hypoallergenic. Their skin is quite dandruff-prone, which irritates allergic owners. Although their short coat does not help prevent allergens, they are considerably easier to care for than many other breeds.”
