The Labmaraner is a mongrel dog, a cross between the Labrador Retriever and Weimaraner dog breeds. Intelligent, active and friendly, these puppies inherit some of the best qualities of their two parents. You can find these mixed breed dogs in shelters and breed-specific rescues, so remember to always adopt. The Labmaraner is a loving and sociable dog that will be a big hit with large families. This breed loves human companionship, but does not like to be left alone for long periods of time and, in some cases, separation anxiety can become ingrained. The breed does best with an active family that has the time and space to involve the dog in most of its activities. Although some Labmaraners have been known to show stubborn tendencies, they are generally intelligent dogs and easy to train.
Labradors are mixed breed dogs. The most common colours of the Labmaraner are brown, yellow, black and grey. The Labmaraner’s coat is short and is often described as glossy and smooth. Overall, the Labmaraner is a fairly adaptable dog when it comes to the climate. Just make sure to provide a coat if the weather is too cold, and seek shade and cool water during the warmer months.Labmaraner dogs and children fit together very well. This mixed breed is friendly, gentle and playful and will love to romp with children. As for walks and play sessions, aim for at least an hour a day. Ball games and fetch should be incorporated into the dog’s daily routine.
The Labrador Retriever originated in Canada, where it was first bred for hunting and retrieving duties before being recognised as a guide dog. Today, the Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular dogs in the United States, something to which its gentle and affectionate nature probably contributes. The Labmaraner has become a designer dog breed, but many of them end up in shelters. So consider contacting local rescue groups and shelters if you are thinking of adding the Labmaraner to your home.
