Balinese

Balinese

Behaviour/Adaptability

The Balinese are noted for their agile jumping ability. They are friendly, vocal and talkative and will want to spend a lot of time on top of the house.

Details

The Balinese is a Siamese who never had to give in to The Man and get a job. It has a medium-long, corn silky coat, which resists matting and stays close to the body, accentuating its slender physique. The coat is white or cream in colour and has a Siamese-like spotting, in the same traditional colours. Since tip colour is related to body temperature, the coats and tips of Balinese living in colder climates tend to be lighter than those of their warm-climate counterparts. The tails of Balinese are feathered or furred to match the rest of their points.
Physically, the Balinese is an agile and delicately built cat, with strong hind legs that make it an excellent jumper. They have neat, oval feet and a wedge-shaped head. Their large ears are set wide enough apart to continue the wedge shape of the head. The eyes of the Balinese are almond-shaped and bright sapphire in colour.
